*Good 'Ol USA! So nice to be back home! *

As our first leg comes to a close we head to Los Angeles and San Francisco. I can't begin to explain how great it is to be back in the USA. Why do I even leave? It's not just that it is so familiar. It is more then that. No there is not a place in this world that I would rather be, rather live. I think you need to travel to really appreciate all that we have and all we take for granted. It's great to be away. It's great to see the world, experience other cultures and customs, see how people live. But, being home is the best.... Here we have it all. Wait, BEING HOME and being able to travel to see the world is the absolute best.

Los Angeles:

We bounded off the ship with energy in LA. Our mission, Ports of Call. After walking endlessly trying to find it, to our dismay it was closed. I was not about to walk all the way back to the ship so a quick alternate plan was needed...... We called a taxi and went to see 13 hours and had lunch at  Johnny Rockets

San Fran is the next Port.

Passing under the Golden Gate Bridge as the ships loud speakers blare God Bless America brings tears to my eyes every time. How fortunate we are!

All off except about 20 of us and all new cruisers come aboard! We love visiting San Franciso. Our first night we went out to dinner and shopping. David bought a sweater and a hat at Macy's. We had the pleasure of being stopped by the police as our cab driver got a ticket for going through a stop sign which none of us saw. Traffic to Union Square was a nightmare as most of San Francisco is getting ready for the Super Bowl. Streets are being closed to make way for all the Super Bowl Fans in a few weeks. Getting anywhere was horrid, took forever and was expensive. Our cab driver got pulled over and received a ticket for going through a stop sign none of us saw.

We did not count on David not feeling well at this port We went down to the ships Doctor. When he finally found David's pulse and examined David he told us he would not recommend we continue our trip without having David checked out. Long story short we found ourselves in an ambulance heading to the ER. This was a first for me. I see people getting off this way many times on World Cruises but I never imagined myself heading to the ER this way. Rather be safe and be checked out before we head on this cruise. I got our passports and computers and readied myself for a long day at the hospital. After numerous tests he was diagnosed with Vertigo and given meds. This was a relief. We were given the OK to continue, a clean bill with heart, and info on what to look for should the problems persist.

But on the brighter side- rough seas behind us, we did get out and see the city :) This is all I ever see of David.......
